Department Overview

Acute neuroscience unit with 37 beds
Focus on neurological conditions including strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, seizures, and spinal/brain lesions
Emphasis on teamwork and positive workplace culture

Patient Care Details

Unit size: 37 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Common cases: stroke, spinal epidural abscess, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury (TBI), seizures, brain and spinal surgeries, multiple sclerosis (MS), etc.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
Certifications required: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
NIHSS certification must be renewed yearly
