Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
PALS
Pediatrics CVICU experience within the last year
5 years of Pediatrics CVICU experience
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring (PAP, CVP)
Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
Experience with CVVD (Continuous Veno-Venous Dialysis) or CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
Experience managing chest tubes
Experience with arterial lines
Ability to care for fresh open-heart pediatric patients directly from OR

Unit Details

PICU-based assignment
5-bed pediatric CVICU
Currently 3–4 cases per week and growing

Notes

Does not want adult CVICU candidates
The role is for pediatric open-heart-specific experience
