Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment in Appleton, Wisconsin
• Clinical Resource Team (CRT) role
• Based in the Medical-Surgical setting
• 13-week contract
• Start date: ASAP
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts, starting at 5:30 PM
• Weekend rotation up to every other weekend
• Holiday rotation as needed
• No call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Experience with Epic
• Experience with Pre-post Cath and post pacemaker and TR Bands
• Oncology experience
• Stroke experience
• Ortho Trauma experience

Preferred Qualifications

• AHA ACLS
• 1 prior travel contract
• Experience with pre-post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands

Float Scope

• Floats throughout all Medical-Surgical units at Appleton and Neenah
• May float to all facilities as needed
• Must be open to smaller locations as needed
• May include cardiac, neuro, stroke, post-TNK, neuro surgery, pre/post heart cath, pacemakers, and other patients within skillset

Clinical Notes

• Assignment is intended to fill staffing needs
• Traveler will only take patients within their skillset
• Primary case mix includes Medical/Surgical, General Surgical, Oncology, Renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, Stroke, Surgical Trauma, Ortho, DKA, and rare pediatric patients
• Patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Black scrubs required
