Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

Location: Redding, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Occupational Therapy
Shift: Days
Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Work every 3rd weekend
Holidays: Participate in permanent staff rotation for all modalities
Floating: No floating required
Orientation: 8 hours of floor-specific orientation for all modalities
EMR System: Cerner

Work Environment

Unit: Rehabilitation (PT, OT, & Speech)
Dress Code: Polo style or button-down long sleeve burgundy shirt (provided if wanted), dark solid pants; no scrubs allowed
Hospitalist/Intensivist: On-site 24/7
Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7
Pharmacy: Available 24/7
IV Team: Not available
Support Staff: PT aides available (1 on Sunday-Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday-Saturday)
Charge Nurse: Manager available on days (Monday-Friday)

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist
At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
Active California Occupational Therapy license
BLS Certification
COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

Open to first-time travel therapists
Work schedule averages 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts every other weekend (EOW)
