CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: McCall, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Perform both CT and X-ray imaging services.
• Typical imaging includes orthopedic X-rays, fluoroscopy, CT abdomen/pelvis, cardiac scoring, trauma, and code stroke protocols.
• No invasive procedures required (e.g., no IV starts at night).
• Average workload: approximately 24 X-rays and 24 CT scans per day.
• Work independently; must be able to work alone.
• Night shift position: 7 PM to 7:30 AM, 6 shifts on, 8 shifts off schedule.
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend.
• Holiday work required if it falls during rotation.
• Scrubs are provided.
• Orientation: 2 weeks on day shift.

Equipment & Systems

• X-Ray machines: Carestream (1 x-ray, 1 portable x-ray)
• CT machine: Toshiba
• EMR system: EPIC
• PACS system: McKesson

Team & Supervision

• No Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on shift; manager is always available.
• Radiologist coverage: in-house Mon-Fri daytime; after-hours scans sent to remote radiologists or outsourced.
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) on staff.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with CT specialty certification (ARRT CT).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Prior CT experience required; X-ray experience preferred.
• First-time travel technologists are welcome (no prior travel experience required).

• Department is moderately busy with occasional major traumas; busier during winter and summer seasons.

• No call or standby requirements.

Schedule Summary

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7 PM – 7:30 AM)
• 6 shifts on, 8 shifts off rotation
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts as scheduled during rotation
