Contract Length

• 6 weeks

Unit Details

• 25 beds
• Patient ratio: 5-6:1
• Common patient types include CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD, and m/s tele
• Tele monitor techs monitor patients; RNs must be able to read strips
• PCTs are present at a 12:1 ratio
• Respiratory support on the unit includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow patients

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• 18+ months of recent Med/Tele experience
• Must be able to titrate Heparin
• Must be able to read strips
• Great communication and time management
• RN license

Preferred Qualifications

• Rural hospital experience

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week or 36/48 hours biweekly
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Floating

• Floats to all med/surg units
• May float to PCU to care for Tele holds prior to transfer

Additional Information

• Call/standby is not required
• Navy blue scrubs
• Unit orientation includes 2 shadow/orientation shifts
• Paragon charting system is used currently; transitioning to EPIC on Oct 30th, 2026
