Overview

13-week contract
36 hours per week
12-hour night shifts
Every other weekend
Unit: PCU Oncology (5 North)
18 beds
Primary patient population: Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients

Required Qualifications

RN license
Minimum 1 year of experience
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Driver’s license required at submittal
First-time travelers are accepted

Preferred

Oncology experience
CHEMO CERT
ONS/ONCC

Floating

Floats to other Med/Surg and PCU units
Float assignments remain at the same level of care

Orientation

Two days of unit orientation

Clinical Details

RNs occasionally titrate Insulin and Cardizem drips
Common drips/medications include Chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix
High-flow respiratory equipment may be encountered
Epic is used for EMR
Alaris IV pumps are used
Lyko lifts are available in even-numbered rooms, with additional lift equipment available

Schedule Notes

Self-scheduling is available, balanced to unit needs

Additional Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
Radius rule: 50 miles
