Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 1 year of ER experience
• Charge experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• PALS
• TNCC

Preferred

• Critical access experience

Schedule Details

• Every other weekend
• Every third holiday
• Floating between ER, Med-Surg, and Swing Bed

Unit Notes

• Critical access setting
• ER patient ratio: 1:3-4
• Med-Surg patient ratio: days 1:5, nights 1:6
• RN must read and interpret telemetry strips
• Common patient types include trauma, stroke, STEMI, chest pain, respiratory diagnoses, lacerations, pneumonia, UTIs, observation patients, and short-term swing bed patients

Additional Notes

• No clinical involvement
• Self/team scheduling
• 1 shift of unit-specific orientation
• Strong teamwork, communication, flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure are helpful
