Job Opportunity: RN - Oncology (Travel)

Unit Information

• Unit: 6th Floor Med-Surg/Oncology
• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Patient Types: Med Surg, Oncology, Hospice patients; also hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring without interventions
• Unit Staffing: Clinical Care Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Unit secretary
• Equipment Used: I-med, I-mobile, Neurons (vitals machine), Glucometer, PCA, Wound vac, Chest Tubes, Surgical Drains
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: Every other weekend; every third weekend off; no on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse License
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Oncology/Med-Surg)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Job Responsibilities / Typical Procedures

• Wound Vac changes
• Drain removal
• IV/PICC line management
• Foley catheter insertion/removal
• NG tube insertion/removal

• Floating Areas: Med-Surg and Telemetry (Med-Surg level patients)
• Dress Code: Nurses wear Pewter (gray) uniforms; PCTs wear Caribbean Blue
