Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer (Travel)

Location: Denton, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Key Requirements

• Certification:

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required
  • ARDMS certification required
  • BLS certification required
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound tech experience
  • Minimum 2 years of travel experience preferred
• Skills:

  • Vascular certification mandatory
  • Experience with GE ultrasound equipment preferred
  • Experience with paracentesis/thoracentesis, biopsies, and drainages is a plus

Unit Information

• Unit: Ultrasound
• Number of Beds: 228
• Staffing:

  • 1 Full-time technologist
  • 3 PRN technologists
  • Shifts: Day, Evening, Night (1 technologist per shift)
• Equipment: GE ultrasound machines
• EMR System: Meditech

Typical Procedures Performed

• Pelvic/Transvaginal
• Renal and Renal Dopplers
• Abdomen and Abdomen Limited
• 1st Trimester Pregnancy
• Testicular
• Carotid
• Upper and Lower Extremity Venous

Work Environment & Expectations

• Floating Areas: Within the department and patient rooms
• Dress Code: Dark gray scrubs
• Shift Requirements:

  • Must be open to working weekends
  • On-call and holiday call coverage required
  • Shift coverage for holidays
