Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Surgery (CVOR)

Job Description

• Position in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• On-call requirement: 1 weeknight per week and one weekend every 6 weeks (weekends on-call rotation)
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• EMR system: Meditech
• Typical procedures:

  • CABG
  • Aortic/Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement
  • AAA Endovascular & Open
  • AV Fistula creation/revision/thrombectomy
  • HDC, CAPD, BBT
  • TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip
• Equipment used includes surgical instruments, bovie cautery, EVH video tower, laparoscopic video tower, surgical tourniquet, IABP console, Impella console, cryo system, patient warming/cooling system

Unit Information

• Located on 1st floor, Surgery Department
• Permanent positions available for CVOR RN and CVOR CST
• Team environment requiring mature, flexible, punctual, and drama-free professionals
• Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of CVOR RN experience required (highest stated requirement)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
