Unit Information
- Treat approximately 45-55 patients per day on 2 linear accelerators
- Patient ratio: 2 radiation therapists per machine
- Unit staffing includes therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, RNs, dietitian, social worker, and director
- Equipment: 2 TrueBeam linear accelerators, GE CT Simulator, Elekta HDR
- Documentation system: ARIA
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7:30 AM to 4:00-4:30 PM
- No floating policy
- Patient experience scores around 95% (Press Ganey)
- Accredited by ACR, Commission on Cancer, and NAPBC
Required Skills and Experience
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Virginia
- Minimum 3 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including at least 2 years in Radiology specialty
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- Minimum 3 years of TrueBeam experience
- Experience with Align RT (Vision RT) surface guidance system
- Experience with ARIA documentation system
- Advanced skills in:
- DIBH (Deep Inspiration Breath Hold) procedures
- Certifications:
- ARRT (T) Certification (Radiation Therapist)
- AART Certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
- USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk

- The unit has the latest TrueBeam technology, with the newest machine installed recently (1 month old)

This position is ideal for experienced Radiation Therapists with strong TrueBeam and surface guidance skills looking for a travel assignment in a well-equipped, accredited oncology unit.
