Job Summary

The Registered Nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting, providing both routine and complex nursing care. The role involves managing long-range goals, coping with clinical contingencies, and delegating tasks appropriately to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 7 AM to 7 PM shift.
