Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Travel)

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: MRI Hillside
• Number of MRI units: 3
• Number of staff: 12
• Shift coverage:

  • Day Shift: 5 techs on 1st floor
  • Night Shift: 2.5 techs on 2nd floor, 1 tech on 3rd floor
• Patient volume: Average 32 MRI exams per day (April data)
• Equipment: GE MRI machines (including 2 new GE Artist machines)
• EMR system: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ARRT (MR) Certification
  • BLS Certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Tech
• Skills:

  • Must be MRI registered
  • Preferred experience with GE equipment
  • Preferred Level 1 trauma and critical care experience

Typical Procedures

• MRI and MRA exams of all body parts except breast

• Busy MRI department with new technology

• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7 AM - 7 PM
• Dress code: Black scrubs, no t-shirts
