Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Inpatient Rehab Speech Therapy
- Number of Beds: 44
- Staffing: 2 speech therapists (day shift only)
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:8 to 1:10
- Equipment Used: MBS Suite, Vital Stim, IOPI, EMST150, Bioness BITs
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Yes
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Typical Procedures:
- Evaluation and treatment of multiple diagnoses including swallowing and speech-language disorders
- Conducting Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
Requirements
- Licensure: Virginia SLP License required
- Certifications: ASHA Certification, BLS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Speech-Language Pathology
- Population: Experience with adult medical patients required
- Preferred Experience:
- Neuro experience
- Inpatient rehab experience
Work Environment & Culture
- Personality Fit: Patient-focused, team-oriented, flexible
- Floating Areas: May float to acute hospital settings
- Dress Code: Black scrub bottoms and royal blue scrub tops preferred (other colors accepted)
- Schedule: Rotating weekends, typically one shift per month; may assist with on-call duties
