Position Details

- Licenses & Certifications:
- Active Virginia RN license required at time of submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
- CPR certification required
Unit Information
- Unit Name: Stress Lab
- Number of Beds: 3
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1
- Staffing: RNs, echo techs, EKG techs, director
- Equipment: GE monitors, stress treadmills
- Documentation Systems: Maclab, Expanse
- Scheduling: Four 9-hour shifts per week
- Floating Policy: None
- Dress Code: Scrubs in ceil blue or navy
Skills & Procedures
- Experience with conscious sedation, cardiac base care, telemetry
- Cardioversion and Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) experience required
- Advanced skills needed: ACLS and CPR
- Procedures performed on unit: cardioversion, TEE, conscious sedation
Work Environment
- Very close-knit unit with a strong relationship with cardiology
- Performs 6-10 procedures daily
- Emphasis on good bedside manner and respectful communication
Additional Requirements
- Must hold all required certifications and licenses before starting
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position
