Dietitian (Temporary) – Coos Bay, OR

Job Summary

Provide clinical nutrition support, care, and information to patients and staff. Responsibilities include nutrition assessments and reassessments, recommending nutrition interventions, counseling patients and families, documenting nutrition care plans, and collaborating with physicians and support staff. Participate in nutrition education, orientation, and in-service programs for staff, patients, students, and the community. Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy and Diabetes Self-Management training for individuals and groups.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Oregon
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with at least 1 year of experience, including recent experience within the last year
Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition or Dietetics, or completion of a dietetic internship with qualifying work experience
Experience in an inpatient setting

Additional Information

Documentation using Nutrition Care process and standardized language
Assist with maintenance and revision of diet manuals, menus, policies, procedures, and quality improvement data
Interpret and apply current nutrition research and professional standards
Participate in long-term care and nutritional consulting services
16 hours of unbillable time expected
Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 weeks
