Position Details

Shift Information

• Schedule: Day shift, 3-12 hour shifts (7am-7pm)
• Holidays: Every other holiday

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) prior to travel.
• Must have 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience.

Licensing and Certification Requirements

• Licensure: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.
• Certifications Required:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • ECG rhythm recognition test (to be completed during orientation)
  • SafeMedicate assessment (to be completed during orientation)

Additional Certifications (as applicable)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Competency Exam (unit-specific)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within a year of start, must include an assessment of capability to perform essential job functions.
• Fit Mask: Required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccine (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 12 months)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption during flu season

Background and Reference Requirements

• Background Check: Required prior to start, must be updated for breaks in service of 2 or more months.
• References: 2 references required from employment within the past year, from a manager or supervisor.

Application Requirements

• Must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting relevant to the assignment.

Onboarding Process
