Job Opportunity: LVN / LPN - Outpatient Cardiology Clinic

Position Overview

• Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an outpatient cardiology clinic
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• Charting system: EPIC experience required
• Floating: May be required to float within skillset
• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics, including patients newly diagnosed with cardiac disease, post cardiac procedures, and on cardiac maintenance therapy under cardiologist care

Required Experience & Skills

• Specialty: Cardiology outpatient experience with basic cardiology skills
• Core clinical duties: Rooming patients, calling in prescriptions, returning patient calls, completing patient forms
• Years of experience: Not explicitly stated, but candidate experience will determine acceptance of first-time travelers (no explicit prior travel experience required)

Licensure & Certifications

• Licensure: Active Virginia State or Compact LPN license required; pending licenses accepted only if from a non-compact state with a single-state license

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit specifics

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check: 7-year background check required within 1 year of start
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical exam: Within 1 year of start, free from communicable diseases
• Fit test: Required within 1 year of start and updated annually (not required for students)
• Immunizations: Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination or declination form
• TB test: Negative PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 1 year of start; annual updates required
• Other required documents: I-9 or attestation, driver's license/state ID (with address restrictions), E-Verify, residency declaration if on compact license, education verification, references (2 clinical), employment application, skills checklist (annual update), photo for badge, compliance and confidentiality agreements, new hire paperwork, and orientation manual acknowledgment

• Locals are not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers may be accepted depending on experience
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Return to office (RTO) requests must be approved by the facility at booking
