Travel Registered Nurse (Med Surg Rehab Nights)

• Radius Rule: 50 miles

• Dress Code: Royal blue or white scrubs or combination

Required Qualifications

• License: Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, required for all candidates
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, required for all RNs, preferred for Med Surg RNs
• Experience: No minimum years of specialty experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government issued photo ID (must carry while on assignment)
• Social Security Card
• 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, counties lived/worked, statewide, national criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, OFAC
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks (updated monthly)
• HHS/OIG checks (updated monthly)
• BCI and FBI fingerprinting within 12 months of start, updated every 5 years (candidates can start with results pending but must be on file within 30 days)
• Education verification (required for allied candidates)
• Primary source verification of RN license with no board action
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Physical exam confirming ability to work without restrictions (within 6 months for acute care)
• Fit mask testing within 6 months of start (specific mask types required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (Quantiferon Gold within 30 days acceptable; Tspot not accepted)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster or declination if negative/equivocal)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer required or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster or declination if negative/equivocal)
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or signed declination for 2025-26 flu season (required by 12/31/2025)
• COVID vaccination proof or declination

Additional Requirements

• 2 positive professional references related to similar work experience preferred
• Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care or similar area
• Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
• Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality, orientation, dress and appearance, cultural competency, and code of conduct acknowledgments prior to start
• Recent passport-style photo for badge (effective for placements starting on or after 8/26/24)
