Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

  • EPIC charting experience required.
  • Oriented to clinic by manager.
  • No call, float, or weekend shifts.
  • Shift schedule:
    • Monday/Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM
    • Tuesday/Thursday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Physical Therapy (highest required).
  • Prior travel experience may be required depending on experience.
  • New Hampshire State License.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
  • Experience in outpatient clinic settings.

    • Treatment of conditions such as ankle sprains, cervicalgia, degenerative disc and joint disease, frozen shoulder, gait training, hip and knee injuries, low back pain, osteoarthritis, post-op surgeries, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, spinal conditions, taping, total hip and knee replacement.

Documentation and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start, including:
    • Social Security Verification
    • National Sex Offender Registry Search
    • National Criminal Search
    • Education Verification
    • State-specific criminal background checks (excluding NH counties)
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 14 days prior to start.
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start.
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination records
    • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Apr 1) or approved exemption.
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance required.
  • Pass/Fail Basic Dysrhythmia EKG exam within 48 hours of contract signing (specific to Southern New Hampshire units).
  • Certifications required or preferred include ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, Management of Assaultive Behavior, NIH Stroke Certification, TNCC.
  • State license verification and copy required.
  • Photo for badge (passport style, jpeg).
  • Auto insurance proof if applicable (for home health/hospice roles).
  • Completion of facility-specific immunization exemption forms if applicable.

Additional Notes

  • Travelers who have previously been employed by any facility associated with this health system are not eligible.
  • Local travelers (within 50 miles) are accepted but with adjusted pay rates.
  • Orientation is provided by the clinic manager.
  • No weekend or on-call shifts.
  • Must complete SSA release and state-specific releases as part of credentialing.

This position is ideal for a Physical Therapist with outpatient experience, EPIC charting skills, and the ability to work a flexible weekday schedule without weekend or on-call responsibilities.
