Job Description

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
• 1st time travelers accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in Respiratory specialty
• EPIC experience required
• 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holidays
• NICU experience preferred

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Current Louisiana State Respiratory Therapist License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holidays

Additional Requirements

• Blue scrubs required
• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and health documents required including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent within 3 months)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (required Oct 1 – March 31) or approved exemption/declination
• Competency exams and annual updates required (Medication, Dysrhythmia/EKG, Core Parts I-III)

Summary

This is a travel Respiratory Therapist position requiring at least 2 years of experience, with RRT and/or CRT licensure in Louisiana. EPIC system experience is mandatory. The role includes working 36 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday shifts. NICU experience is preferred but not required.
