Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts, every other weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Licensure: Wisconsin or Compact RN license required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for ICU, IMC/IMCU, inpatient, Med Surg, Step Down RN positions)
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience
  • Strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills required
• Flexibility: Will float to IMCU (stepdown unit) if needed
• References:

  • 2 professional supervisor references within the last year, including one from the most recent/current assignment

Background and Compliance

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• State-specific caregiver screening per Wisconsin requirements
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Completion of facility compliance checklist and confidentiality statement
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray acceptable if within 60 days)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days before start
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Color blindness test if working in dialysis/kidney center (not specified for this role)

Additional Notes

• Candidate must submit all required certifications and references at time of application
• References for inpatient RNs must include performance comments and be verified before start
• Some documentation and screenings are facility-specific and must be completed prior to or at orientation
