Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: La Plata, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks; longer contracts up to 20-26 weeks considered)
Start Date: January 5, 2026, or ASAP
Shift: Monday-Friday, Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), 5x8 schedule
Weekends: No weekends required
Holidays: Required as scheduled
Floating: Not required
On-Call: Not required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Maryland state licensure required
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA only)
- ARRT-R (Radiography) required
- ARRT-CT preferred
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners and PACS system
- Charting experience with EPIC and PACS
Compliance & Documentation
- I9 or Attestation
- Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- E-Verify or Attestation
- Background Check: 7-year criminal history within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education Verification for highest level of education
- Maryland State Exclusions List check within 30 days of start
- Two supervisory references within 1 year of start
- Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start
- Verification of previous 5 years of employment history (attestation accepted if necessary)
Certifications & Competencies (As Applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, if applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only, if applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP only, if applicable
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) – if applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – if applicable
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – NCC C-EFM required if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification – required for certain units if applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – as applicable
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam – required as applicable, must score 80%+
- Color Blind Testing – required for all candidates
- Competency Exam – required as applicable, must score 80%+
- Age Specific Competency Exam – required for all, including CNAs, must score 80%+
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam – required for most units, must score 80%+
- Tech Cert Verification – required as applicable by profession
- State License Verification – primary source verification required
- NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
Facility-Specific Documents (Must be completed prior to start)
- Passport/Badge style photo with solid white/beige background
- Computer System Agreement (due at least 1 week prior to start)
- Confidentiality Statement (due at least 1 week prior to start)
- Corporate Compliance Acknowledgement (due at least 1 week prior to start)
- Job Description Acknowledgement (RN or Non-RN as applicable)
- Badge Application (must complete within 72 hours of signing)
- Confidentiality Agreement (must sign prior to start)
- Dress Code review
- Latex Allergy Questionnaire (must be completed by all candidates)
- Portfolio Training Test Out Form (time sensitive for Epic training)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start (including Latex Screen)
- Fit Test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start (specific mask types required)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for units working with children)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (updated annually, specific timing requirements)
- TB Questionnaire if positive TB result (within 2 weeks prior to start)
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination; series not accepted)
- Varicella
- Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel + Fentanyl depending on facility) within 30-45 days prior to start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for 2025-26 season
- COVID-19 vaccination no longer required for this location but documentation may be collected for tracking
Equipment & Systems
- Siemens CT scanners
- PACS system for imaging upload
- EPIC for charting
This position offers a structured evening shift with no weekend or on-call requirements, suitable for CT Technologists licensed in Maryland with required certifications and experience. Compliance with extensive background checks, health screenings, and facility-specific documentation is mandatory.
