Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (IR Tech Vascular Intervention)

Job Description

• Position: IR Tech Vascular Intervention in Operating Room
• Shift: 4x10-hour shifts (08:00 AM - 06:00 PM)
• Call Requirements:

  • 48-hour weekend call every 5th weekend
  • Overnight call 1 night per week
• Charting System: Epic
• Time Off (RTO): Maximum 10 days approved; no RTO allowed during specific blackout periods in 2026

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Colorado State License for Radiology Tech (as applicable)

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
• Drug testing within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start and annually (specific mask types required)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination
• Color Blindness: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)
• Competency exams and annual updates required (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, OSHA, core competencies)
• References: 2 references from last 2 years, including one from last year, preferably from Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor
• Employment history verification for last 3 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for an experienced Interventional Radiology Tech with vascular intervention expertise, working primarily in a hybrid OR setting. The role requires specific certifications, state licensure, and compliance with comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements. The position includes weekend and overnight call responsibilities and uses Epic for charting. First-time travelers are welcome if they meet the experience criteria.
