Job Description
- Position: Mammography Tech
- Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (36 hours/week)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, rotating weekends
- On Call: No
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida State license as a General Radiographer
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) license
- Completion of Initial Mammography Course with 40 hours of training
- 15 breast CME credits within the last 36 months
- Documentation of number of mammograms performed in the last 24 months OR reinstatement with documentation of 25 supervised cases per MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- 8 hours of Tomosynthesis/3D mammography training
- Certifications must be valid for the duration of the assignment and meet facility requirements (e.g., certification numbers listed on cards, no e-cards accepted)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certified
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA certified
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Note: All certifications must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the start date of the assignment.
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Mammography)
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience consistent with Mammography Tech standards and required CME credits.
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start, including checks in Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties
- Federal and state-level screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest level completed related to specialty
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start
- Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug test within 45 days of start at a SAMHSA-certified lab
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and titers required:
- TB test or chest X-ray within past 12 months
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines after 12 months of age
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or completed vaccine series (declinations require documentation)
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (declinations require documentation)
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Additional Notes
- Candidates living within Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties are not eligible to apply
- Photo for badge required within 1 year of start date (plain white background, color photo, head to mid-chest, no group photos)
- Annual required education and compliance documents must be completed and uploaded as instructed
