Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Durham, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Start Date: Target start on March 9 or March 23
- Work Environment:
- Complex academic healthcare system with a level one trauma program
- 1,000-bed hospital including 200 dedicated pediatric beds
- Services include outpatient and inpatient imaging, CT intervention, pain management, portable neuro CT imaging, portable OR imaging, dedicated CTs in the Emergency Department, pediatric and neonatal imaging
- Caseload: Cardiac, oncology, trauma, pain management, interventional
Required Qualifications
- Certification: ARRT-CT certification required
- Experience: GE and Siemens CT scanner experience required (strict requirement)
- Testing: FIT Test required (no flu exemptions accepted)
- Licenses: Must hold a valid CT Tech license/certification as per ARRT standards
- Education: Must have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Sciences program with an AAS or higher in Radiologic Sciences
- Background:
- Comprehensive background check within 90 days of start, including SSN trace, county, alias, nationwide, sex offender, international (if applicable), and education verification
- Education verification required for all Radiology/Cardiology specialties
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months
- Immunizations and titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Polio vaccine or attestation
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with specific protocols for positive history)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel within 30 days of start (no instant tests)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required for new candidates starting October through March (no exemptions)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/AAP only
- Chemotherapy certification as applicable
- Competency: Unit-specific competency exam required
- Orientation: Biweekly orientation schedule
Additional Requirements
- References: Two professional references required from employment within the last 12 months; at least one must be a supervisor
- Employment Application: Required with 7 years of work history
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
- Facility Specific:
- Must set up a facility guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
- Completion of online modules prior to orientation
- Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date
