Job Opportunity: Social Worker (LCSW) - Travel/Contract

Location: Laguna Hills, California

Contract Length: 16 weeks (approximately 4 months)
Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (09:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Weekend Coverage: As needed

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI (refer to qualification details)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) as applicable
• State License verification (primary source online verification required)
• Other certifications as applicable per specialty and facility requirements

Required Skills

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments
• Educate patients and caregivers to facilitate discharge planning

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background checks including 7-year search, SS Trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG
• Pass/Fail competency testing (medication calculation, EKG if applicable)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as required by profession)
• Color Blind Testing (annual update)
• Competency Exam (within 2 years of start date)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam for RNs in specific units (if applicable)
• Photo for badge
• Review of facility-specific policies (Drug and Alcohol Free, Hand Hygiene, Dress and Appearance)

Facility-Specific Training & Modules

• EPIC Education Certificate of Completion (approx. 8 hours of modules)
• YouLearn Modules (facility-assigned)
• HIPAA Education Certificate of Completion (must be completed before EPIC modules)

Note: Deadlines for module completion vary; candidates are encouraged to complete modules prior to start date.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit Mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (fit testing may be done onsite or scheduled with Employee Health)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (declination allowed)
• Negative TB test (QGOLD, TSPOT, or 2-Step PPD) within 1 year, updated annually
• TB Questionnaire (annual)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B Surface Antibody (declination acceptable for low/equivocal titer)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year (instant drug screen acceptable; marijuana panel excluded due to California state law)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination (required November 1 - April 30; declination allowed with masking)
• COVID-19 vaccination record preferred
