Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Covington, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients during night shifts, including emergency and add-on cases at a Level II Trauma Center.
• Responsibilities include circulating duties, patient assessment, coordination with surgical and anesthesia teams, maintaining a safe and sterile environment, and adhering to AORN standards and hospital policies.
• Must be able to work independently during off-hours in a community hospital trauma setting.

Experience & Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Requires experience circulating in a multi-specialty operating room

Work Schedule & Call Requirements

• Weekend work required
• Weekend call as needed
• 3-4 call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday shifts as needed
• Facility requires coverage through Mardi Gras (Feb 13 - Feb 22); minimize time off requests during this period
