Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, including every 3rd weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List, Sex Offender Search
• Education verification through official channels (diploma or transcript plus third-party verification)
• Two supervisory references required (one within last year, second within last 2 years) from specialty area
• Employment verification for last 7 years with no gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist for unit and any float units

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Annual physical exam or statement of health signed by MD, DO, NP, ARNP, or PA
• Fit mask test within 12 months (3M-N95 mask sizes specified)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required with proof:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (QuantiFERON gold or TSpot within 90 days)
  • TB questionnaire annually if positive TB history
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or 2 live vaccines at least 28 days apart
  • Hepatitis B series completion or positive titer or declination form
  • Varicella – positive titer or 2 live vaccines at least 28 days apart
• 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually by October 31
• COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required as of 7/7/2025

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Mandatory Reporter training for Child and Adult Abuse through Iowa HHS website with certification
• Online modules temporarily completed onsite (time not paid)
• Compliance with Iowa SING background check within 30 days of start, including all aliases
• Signing of facility-specific memorandums and acknowledgment of safety manuals (e.g., HIPAA)
