Travel/contract Registered Nurse role in Roanoke, Virginia
Night shift: 3x12s, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
13-week contract
Accepts first-time travelers
Locals accepted

Unit Details

PCU (Medical-Renal)
Adult and geriatric patients
1:5 ratio
One bed is dedicated to chronic vent patients
The unit specializes in Hospitalist Medicine patients with renal and other medical diagnoses
It also serves gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and other surgical or procedural patients covered by hospitalists
Floating is required within skillset

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with Epic

Scheduling Requirements

May be scheduled every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
Must work one holiday per 13-week contract

RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
