Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Dayton, Ohio
• 13-week winter contract option
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Target patient ratio: 1:2
• 36-bed unit
• Navy Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of CVICU experience
• CVICU experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with Post Cardiac Cath patients
• Experience with Impella
• Experience with immediate post-operative care
• Experience with pulmonary artery (PA) catheters
• Experience with thermodilution
• Experience with arterial lines
• Experience with ventilator management
• Experience with arterial blood gas sampling
• Experience with central line management
• Experience with Epic
• Must work a minimum of every other holiday
• Must be available to work every other weekend/holiday
• Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
• Ohio licensure is not required in hand at signing

Preferred

• Level 1 Trauma experience
• Travel experience

Floating

• First to float at the employer’s discretion
• May float in and out of specialty clusters
• If assigned to MVH, may float to main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville), or North Campus (Englewood)

Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• RTO must be requested with initial submittal; no RTO will be added after offer
• 2 shifts may be canceled due to low census per 13-week contract
• Contract may be canceled with 2 weeks’ notice without fee or fine
• OT is paid after 48 hours on 48-hour contracts
