Cath Lab Tech

Overview

  • Travel/contract assignment in Columbia, South Carolina.
  • Based in Cath Lab.
  • Rotating day shifts: 4x10 hours, 7:00-17:30 and 9:30-20:00.
  • Team members rotate shifts in weekly blocks for consistency.
  • Daily caseload is about 20-25 cases per day.
  • On-call is required: one weekend (Fri-Sun) every 7 weeks, plus one call shift and one evening shift every week.
  • Holidays as needed.
  • First-timers accepted.
  • Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius.
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, depending on unit needs.
  • Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

  • Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of experience.
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
  • Proficiency in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitor.
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
  • ARRT or RCIS.
  • South Carolina license.
  • Radiation badge provided by the agency.
  • Must have SC license (SCRQSA).

  • Will not float between service lines.
  • Will not float to sister facilities.
  • Radiation badge is required for this assignment.
  • Charting system: EPIC.
  • Scrub color: Cath Lab hospital-issued scrubs.
