MS/Tele Float

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Omaha, Nebraska.
• 13-week contract.
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• 36 or 48 hour option available.
• The unit will open in early December, and travelers will float within the tower for orientation and unit-specific training until the floor opens for patients.
• The assignment is based on a newly remodeled 45-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult patients.

Required Qualifications

• BLS required.
• 2 years of prior Telemetry experience required.
• Must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• First timers are not accepted.
• Must be more than 100 miles from the facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS preferred.
• CPI preferred.
• NIH preferred.

Clinical Details

• Drips are required on all floors.
• Travelers will float within scope to meet facility needs, including potentially floating to Bellevue campus.
• Units that may be included in float scope: 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU.
• Travelers are first to float and should be prepared to float frequently.
• Care teams include CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs on some floors.

Scheduling and Policies

• Weekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.
• Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• Up to two weeks of RTO is permitted and must be submitted with the application.
• Additional RTO after confirmation is at manager discretion.
• Pending license is accepted; if the license is not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out.

• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo on the back.
• Parking is available for a fee.
