Overview

• Role: Med Surge RN
• Employment type: Per Diem
• Location: Charleston, South Carolina
• Unit: Float Pool
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Patient population: Adults
• Patient ratio: 1:5

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of MS experience
• Active RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• Epic experience
• 2 clinical references, including at least 1 leadership reference from assignments within the last year
• Must live within 60 miles of the facility
• Floating is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous charge experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level 1 & 2

• Bowel obstruction
• Colostomy/ileostomy management/care
• Feeding tube care and management
• Blood product administration
• Peripheral line care/management
• Phlebotomy
• Starting and maintaining IVs

• Tracheostomy care/management

Additional Notes

• First and last week of the contract are not guaranteed
• Any week containing RTO that prevents meeting the scheduling requirement is not guaranteed
• Up to 2 start date pushes are allowed
• Shifts must be picked up weekly in the shifts app
• The clinician must provide 5 days of availability through self-scheduling and work a total of 36 hours each week during the contract duration
• The facility has up to 2 hours from the start of the shift to confirm or cancel shifts
• Shifts access will not be granted until the candidate is fully cleared after orientation
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Separation period: 6 months
