Registered Nurse - CVICU (Winston Salem, North Carolina)

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (06:45 - 19:15), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Patient Population: Post Open Heart Recovery Unit, thoracotomies, esophagogastrectomies, TAVR
Unit Details:

Post Open Heart Recovery Unit
Procedures include CRRT, Impella, IABP
Target nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 nights, 2:1 weekends
Float requirement: Yes
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Documentation and communication systems: SBAR, EPIC, PYXIS

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of critical care (CC) experience
Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, with CVICU experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment; no first-time travelers accepted
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
