Physical Therapist - Outpatient (Travel/Contract)
Location: Billings, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work Schedule Options:
- 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- OR 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Must live at least 75 miles away from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Outpatient experience required (new graduates welcome if outpatient experience is met)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Montana
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal background check (must be renewed annually)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (required within 30 days of start)
- Education verification of highest degree completed
- Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Two references required, including one direct supervisor reference within the last year
- Employment verification preferred for last 5 years
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray with annual renewal
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination within last year)
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine preferred within 10 years or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 – Mar 31) unless medically/religiously exempt
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
- Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, including a comprehensive 9-panel test plus additional substances; must be renewed annually
Additional Notes
- Quantitative fit test with a 3M mask required within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted; must be clean-shaven; religious exemptions evaluated case-by-case)
- Onsite OSHA form required for fit testing
- Certificates of completion for certifications are not accepted unless specifically stated (e.g., BLS, ACLS certificates must be AHA only)
