Registered Nurse – PCU (Night Shift)

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night Shift (3 shifts of 12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours (option to request 48 hours)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to float within scope to like units as needed
• Travel Pairs: Not accepted
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (50-mile radius restriction from main campus)
• Return Staff Policy: Must be off assignment for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (one extension allowed), then must be off for 6 months before returning
• Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, contracted hours are guaranteed
• Interview availability required upon submission

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with PCU experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Must complete facility-required modules prior to start (due Monday before start date)
• Flu exemption forms must be resubmitted annually if applicable
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required but documentation is accepted if available

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience, comfortable working night shifts in a progressive care setting, able to pass required competency exams, and willing to comply with strict facility policies and immunization requirements.
