Shift Details

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• On-call requirements:

  • One weeknight call (Monday-Friday, 11 PM - 7 AM) per 4-week period
  • Two weekend calls (Saturday or Sunday, 7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM) per 4-week period
  • If working Sunday night call, expected to report Monday 7 AM (may be sent home if worked 8 hours)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Neuro specialty: Craniotomy experience is required

Procedures and Equipment Experience

• Types of procedures: General, gynecology, urology, orthopedics (including joints), spine, neuro, bariatrics, robotics, ENT, plastics, breast surgery
• Equipment experience: Bovie, suction, drills, video, navigation systems

Case Load

• 4-5 cases per day

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Scrubs will be provided
• Scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted with application
• Missed call shifts must be made up; excessive call outs (>3) may extend contract length
• Block or special scheduling only if approved at booking

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• Certification by NBSTSA or NCCT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pharmacology knowledge and competency
• Neuro craniotomy experience
