Location: North Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
On-Call: None
Service Area: Jackson and Clay counties

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy assistance in a home health setting.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
• Apply therapy best practices and make appropriate physical therapy judgments.
• Identify and resolve patient care situations with suitable solutions.
• Maintain a detail-oriented, observant, and disciplined work ethic.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in home care settings.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check and fingerprinting completed prior to employment.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last year (or negative chest x-ray within 5 years if previously positive).
• Facility-specific Hepatitis B form completion; proof of vaccination if accepted.
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season (November–April) if applicable.
• Drug screening as required by client standards.
• Photo for badge and proof of auto insurance.
• Physical exam statement within the last 12 months (as applicable).
• Other immunization requirements may apply depending on location and client policies.

Additional Notes

• No on-call duties.
• Work primarily within Jackson and Clay counties.
• Must be able to travel to patient homes within the service area.

This position is ideal for a licensed PTA with acute care experience seeking a travel contract in home health physical therapy.
