Operating Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Auburn, New York
• Start: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• Floating required based on facility needs
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend and every other holiday
• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• 2 years of Operating Room experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Orthopedics experience

Schedule / Assignment Notes

• All requested time off must be submitted before offer
• Any requested time off after offer will not be approved
• Traveler is responsible for covering any additional shifts
• Call-out / call-off policy: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Phone or virtual interview

Compliance / Onboarding

• Background check required
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit test within 12 months of start
• TB screening required within 1 year of start
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• COVID vaccination or declination required
• Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season
• Tdap within the last 10 years or declination
• Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation required
• Hepatitis B documentation required
• Varicella documentation required
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Skills checklist required

• If the New York license has been applied for but not yet issued, the candidate may still be submitted if the application date is provided
