Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Job Description

• Perform 2D & 3D Mammography and Stereo Biopsy procedures
• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
• Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• California Mammography Certification
• Proficient in 2D and 3D Mammography skills
• Skilled in Stereo Biopsy procedures

Experience

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for Mammography Tech (typically 1-2 years)
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of W4 form on file
• 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, county, state, federal, and national criminal and sex offender searches (no international background check required)
• HHS/OIG clearance required
• Primary source verification of California CRT and Mammography licenses within 30 days of start, visually verified and signed
• Two satisfactory professional references
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Facility-specific job description must be completed prior to start
• Completion of facility learning modules (approx. 8 hours) before start date, with transcript submission
• Signed Standards of Conduct and Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure agreements, updated annually
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Proof of N95 fit test within 1 year prior to start (specific approved mask models required)
• Tdap vaccination (no declinations accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, with annual updates if applicable
• Required immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (2 vaccines or titers with boosters if needed; no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or signed declination
• 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or agency flu declination required year-round, with proof submitted by November 7th annually
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption on file

Additional Notes

• No scrub color requirement; scrubs provided by facility
• Experience with EPIC or Cerner electronic health records preferred; less than 6 months experience may require approval
• Pyxis acknowledgment not required for this position
• Radiation badge not required for this role
