Job Opportunity: Echo Tech (Cardiac Sonographer)

Work Schedule

• Majority of shifts are 10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
• Rotating weekends, working every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Must hold CCI (RCS) or ARDMS (RDCS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• 2+ years of Cardiac ECHO experience (required)
• 2 years of pediatric experience preferred (pediatric registry not required)
• Experience performing ECHOs and TEEs
• Epic experience within the last 12 months is required and must be documented

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours
• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Diploma/transcript required for Cath Lab specialties
• Various certifications may be required depending on role (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM)
• State license verification as applicable
• EPIC test required for all candidates (one attempt only; failure results in contract cancellation)
• Physical exam within one year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• N95 Fit Test required within one year of start; no PAPR allowed; failure to pass results in contract cancellation
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start; annual TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella with boosters as needed
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (no exemptions accepted)
• COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Complete employment application/resume required
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty

Additional Notes

• Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Failure to complete required background checks or certifications on time may result in contract termination

This position is ideal for experienced Echo Techs with strong cardiac and pediatric echo skills, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment with rotating weekend shifts and Epic system proficiency.
