Registered Nurse - LTAC

Location: Joplin, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Must have 2 years current and strong LTAC experience
Skills required: tracheostomies, ventilators, drips
Patient ratios can be 1:5-6 due to LTAC setting
Every Other Week (EOW) schedule
Local candidates accepted same as travel

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of experience in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC), with at least some experience within the last year
Experience working in a Long Term Acute Care setting

Prior Travel Experience

No explicit prior travel experience required

Required Documentation & Compliance

Unexpired government-issued photo ID
Background checks within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender search
EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Sex Offender searches required within 30 days of start
National certification/verification prior to start and upon expiration
Primary source verification of state license prior to start and upon expiration
NURSYS verification prior to start
Medication and competency exams as applicable
Photo for badge (clear photo, plain background)
Review and acknowledgment of staff orientation manual, key clinical policies, dress code, and onboarding forms
Physical exam within last 12 months
Fit testing with N95 mask within past year (updated annually)
Immunizations/vaccinations or exemptions required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions apply)
- Hepatitis B (series, positive titer, or declination)
- Varicella (2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination
Drug screening within last 12 months
Two professional references within 3 years
Employment application and skills checklist required
Missouri-specific electronic driver’s license search within 30 days prior to start
