Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Home Health
Location: Napa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekends or on-call required
- Typical Caseload: 5-7 patients per day, approximately 6 visits daily
- Productivity Expectation: Minimum 30 points weekly
- Patient Population: Geriatric cases
- Territory: Up to 60-mile radius from the office; flexibility with territory expected
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
- Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
- Documentation: Timely documentation and communication required
- Technology Provided: iPad provided; cell phone use not allowed
- Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Occupational Therapy Home Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Compliance and Onboarding Requirements
- Background checks including SSN trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender, motor vehicle records, education verification, and work history verification (within 90 days of start)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start
- Fingerprinting as required by state regulations
- Verification of highest degree related to profession
- State license primary source verification within 90 days of start and upon expiration
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Signed orientation safety manual acknowledgment (updated annually)
- Proof of current auto insurance (required for driving positions)
- Health documents including:
- Physical exam within last 12 months
- Fit mask test (N95 accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form
- COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start
- Employment application with full 7 years of work history, no gaps
- Annual skills checklist
- State-specific background and fingerprinting requirements as applicable
Additional Notes
- Locals are accepted and paid at travel rates
- No on-call or weekend shifts required
- Mileage reimbursement provided
- Candidate must have a valid license and be prepared for flexible travel within the designated territory
