Job Description

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• License Required: Massachusetts Physical Therapy license
• Preferred Experience: Previous Epic electronic health record experience preferred
• Patient Population:

  • Orthopedics (Total Hip, Knee, Shoulder)
  • Elective spine and ankle
  • General medical patients
  • Geriatric patients
  • Neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, colorectal surgery patients
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 4 weekends

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid government-issued ID
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and other verifications within 30 days of start
• Education verification (highest completed education)
• State license verification within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Immunizations and/or declinations as required (e.g., TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, COVID-19)
• Drug testing within 30 days of start
• Competency exams and certifications as applicable
• References: 2 references within 3 years of start
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Additional Notes

• Acute care experience is mandatory for this role.
• Weekend coverage is required on a rotating basis.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Telemetry (Tele) certifications or exams are not specified for this role.
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific health and safety protocols, including vaccination or declination documentation.
