Contract Length: 12 weeks

Patient Population

• Adults to Geriatrics

Unit & Work Environment

• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• 24 beds on unit
• Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• 1st time travelers accepted

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (refer to unit description for requirement)

General Skills and Clinical Focus

• Stroke, Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), Subdural Hematoma (SDH)
• Elective Spinal Surgeries
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Orientation & Compliance

• Return to Orientation (RTO) maximum 7 days
• Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in push back of start date
• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

• Floating within the facility may be required as per scope of practice
• No call responsibilities
• Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Prior travel experience is not required for this assignment

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing who are comfortable working with adult to geriatric patients in a stroke and neuro-focused environment. The role requires flexibility for floating and working some major holidays.
