Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide home health nursing care with a focus on geriatric patients.
• Average caseload: 5-7 patients per day (to be confirmed during interview).
• Productivity requirement: 30 points weekly.
• No on-call duties.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub.
• Locals are accepted and paid at travel rates.
• Must be flexible with territory assignments.
• Timely documentation and communication are required.
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; jeans are not allowed.
• iPad provided for work; cell phone use is not permitted during work.
• Mileage reimbursement provided at IRS standard rate.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state.
• Minimum of one year of home health nursing experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with OASIS electronic medical records system.

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Background checks including SSN trace, county searches (last 7 years), FACIS Level 1, nationwide sex offender registry, motor vehicle records, education verification, and work history verification.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start.
• Fingerprinting requirements vary by state; for Washington, fingerprints are required on-site if candidate has not lived in the state for the past 3 years.
• Education verification of highest degree related to nursing.
• State-specific criminal history and employability status checks as applicable.
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 12 months of start.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Fit mask test (N95 accepted).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire required annually.
• Immunizations or titers required for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form required.
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required.
• Proof of current auto insurance required due to driving responsibilities.

Additional Requirements

• Signed acknowledgment of orientation safety manual and acceptable use policy.
• Two professional references within 2 years of start.
• Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps.
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.

Notes

• This position does not accept first-time travel nurses.
• Flexibility with travel territory is expected.
• Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel within the assigned territory.
