Job Description

• Position: CTOR Tech (Cardiothoracic Operating Room Technician)
• Specialty: Surgical Services
• Required experience: Minimum 1+ year in CTOR/CVOR

Required Qualifications

• CVOR Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Certification by NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Health Requirements

• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (PPD, Quantiferon Gold accepted; Tspot not accepted)
• Immunization or positive titer proof for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (September 1 - March 31)
• Pneumonia vaccination or declination required
• Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Professional references:

  • 2 references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
  • 1 reference for per diem non-acute care roles
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding documents and training modules prior to first shift
• Photo for badge (professional headshot, plain background)
• Annual renewal of certain certifications and competencies as applicable
