Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Clearlake, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform specialized breast examinations to assist in diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
• Operate specialized mammography equipment and perform all required procedures.
• Provide skilled clinical care using appropriate technical and decision-making skills.
• Assist Radiologist with intricate mammography exams including breast biopsies.
• Produce high-quality films and complete documentation.
• Educate patients about exams while ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
• Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Healthcare Provider BLS (HS-BLS), or Registered Qualified Individual BLS (RQIBLS) certification
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R) certification
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Current picture identification (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background check covering last 7 years, including education verification.
• Physical exam within 90 days of start.
• Drug testing within 30 days before start.
• Immunizations and titers: TDAP, TB test, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption.
• Fit mask testing (N95 preferred).
• Annual competency exams and certifications as applicable.
• Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality and compliance acknowledgments.
• Two clinical references verified within one year of start.
• Complete employment application/resume with 7-year work history.
• Unit-specific skills checklist.

Additional Information

• No prior travel experience explicitly required.
• Facility will provide radiation badges if needed.
